@hand has successfully delivered an enterprise mobility solution for the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA). With the solution, PRASA's field technicians and electro-mechanics use mobile software on rugged handhelds to manage work orders and equipment maintenance information. @hand provides PRASA with a dedicated software system for its technical field force, while aligning and integrating with the backend SAP ERP system. As with any @hand installation, the PRASA solution is powered by the @hand Field Mobility System (FMS).
The FMS-powered mobile application allows field technicians to manage mission-critical work order information, including task completion, failure reporting, and activity tracking. Mobile users can also create work requests and convert them to work orders in the field. Regional coordinators can monitor, track, and assign work to supervisors using the @hand FMS Dashboard. Relevant ERP data is integrated back into SAP daily, reducing data entry time delays by several days versus a paper or spreadsheet-based process.
@hand is excited to announce another successful FMS mobile solution in an SAP IT environment. PRASA joins a list of @hand customers that run SAP and that recognize the unique value in delivering mobility as a system. @hand FMS was designed to align and integrate with SAP and to combine this alignment with a level of autonomy and independence not often found in solutions that target the SAP ecosystem.
Finally, the solution for PRASA implements FMS language localization features, enabling the mobile application to use Spanish terminology with which the mobile users are the most comfortable.
